Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which payments made to Deltabyte Solutions IT Institute (OPC) Private Limited, trading as "DBS IT Institute" ("we", "us", "our", or "the Institute"), may be cancelled or refunded. By making any payment to the Institute, you agree to this Policy.

Please note: Course fees, registration fees, examination fees, certification/document fees, and franchise fees are generally non-refundable once the service has been activated or the document has been generated, except as expressly stated below or as required by applicable law.

1. Registration & Course Fees

  • Registration fees are non-refundable once a registration number has been generated.
  • Course fees may be refunded only if a written cancellation request is received before the course is activated or classes/access begin, subject to deduction of applicable administrative charges.
  • Once course access, study material, or live classes have commenced, fees are non-refundable.
  • No refund will be provided for non-attendance, discontinuation, or failure to complete a course.

2. Certificate, Marksheet & Document Fees

  • Fees paid for generating certificates, marksheets, admit cards, ID cards, or typing certificates are non-refundable once the document has been generated or issued, as these are personalised digital services.

3. Wallet, Top-ups & Withdrawals

  • Wallet top-ups are used to avail services on the platform and are generally non-refundable once credited.
  • Available wallet balance (excluding non-refundable amounts) may be withdrawn subject to the Institute's minimum/maximum limits, applicable withdrawal charges, KYC/verification requirements, and processing timelines.
  • Withdrawal requests are subject to review and approval; the Institute may hold or reject a request in cases of suspected fraud, chargeback, or violation of its terms.

4. Franchise Fees

  • Franchise application fees, authorisation fees, and security/onboarding amounts are governed by the separate franchise/authorisation agreement.
  • Unless expressly stated otherwise in that agreement, franchise fees are non-refundable.

5. Store Orders

  • For physical products purchased through the store, cancellation is possible only before the order is dispatched.
  • Refunds/replacements for damaged or defective products are considered only if reported within 48 hours of delivery, with supporting evidence, and are subject to verification.
  • Digital products/services are non-refundable once delivered or activated.

6. Duplicate or Failed Payments

  • If you are charged more than once for the same service due to a technical error, or if an amount is debited but the service is not activated, the excess/failed amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
  • Such refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days after verification, though the exact timeline may depend on your bank or payment provider.

7. How to Request a Refund

All eligible refunds are processed to the original payment method through our payment partners (such as Razorpay, PayU, or Instamojo). The Institute is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment providers.

8. Discretion and Changes

Approval of any refund outside the express terms above is at the sole discretion of the Institute. We may update this Policy at any time; the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
